How to update
Still does not update itself. The newest version is always the one this site gives you: check the release notes for what it is, then download again with your receipt and replace the copy in your Applications folder. Your todos, settings, and music library are kept.
Quit Still from its menu bar icon, then go to www.stillfocus.app/download and enter the email address you bought with together with the order number on your Stripe receipt. A disk image named Still-<version>.dmg downloads. Open it, drag Still to Applications, choose Replace when Finder asks, and open Still again. Nothing needs setting up a second time. The support page has more, including what to do if an update goes wrong.

Still 0.2.0
- Todos, a calm list of what you want to finish. Press Control–Option–N (⌃⌥N) from any app, type, and press Return; the box stays ready for the next one, and Down Arrow adds a description. Todos stay in the order you wrote them, and you can drag one somewhere else, or move it with ⌘↑ and ⌘↓. Completing one fills its circle and lets it go a moment later, ⌘Z undoes the last change, and finished todos are kept by day under Completed, each with the time you finished it. Everything is saved on your Mac as you go.
- Notes have been removed, and Todos take their place on the rail, in the panel, and on Control–Option–N. Notes you saved in Still 0.1.0 or 0.1.1 are no longer shown. They have not been deleted: the file they are kept in stays on your Mac untouched, and going back to Still 0.1.1 shows them again. Write to support@stillfocus.app if you would like that version.
- Three guided breathing sessions in the new Breathe tab, chosen by how you feel: Calm down, five minutes, for when you feel tense; Let go, two minutes, for between one task and the next; and Settle in, three minutes, for before you start to focus. A recorded voice guides you, and you can turn it off. A soft sound marks each change of breath, quiet music plays underneath, and a disc grows and shrinks with your breath. Space pauses and ⌘. ends a session.
- A breathing session never starts, pauses, or resets your timer. Music you were playing fades out for the session and comes back afterwards, and when a focus session ends Still offers Let go.
- The rail and the panel now have four places: Focus, Sound, Todos, and Breathe, with ⌘1 to ⌘4 in the panel and ⌘N for a new todo. The panel's tabs are labeled in words, and each theme's own color now marks breaks too.
- The breathing recordings come with the app and play offline. As before, Still makes no network connections and collects nothing.
Still 0.1.1
- Music stops when your headphones disconnect, instead of carrying on through your Mac’s speakers. Choosing a different output yourself keeps it playing.
- The rail can now fold into a slim bar beside the edge while you’re not using it, and springs open as soon as you point at it. Choose Shrink or Stay in Settings → Rail when idle; Stay, the rail as it was, is the default.
- On the Focus tab, clicking the name of what’s playing opens the Sound tab, not only its artwork.
Still 0.1.0
- A slim rail attached to the right edge of your screen with Focus, Sound, and Notes, in two sizes, on the display you choose. Drag it up or down; it stays where you leave it.
- A Pomodoro timer with configurable focus, short-break, and long-break lengths. A saved deadline keeps time through sleep and relaunch, and each finished phase waits for you to begin the next.
- Fourteen bundled tracks under Focus, Relax, and Meditate, four generated soundscapes, and your own imported music, all offline. Whatever is selected starts with the timer, and breaks can stay quiet.
- Random notes: press ⌃⌥N from any app, type, and save. Drafts save as you type, saved notes can be copied, and deleting one offers Undo.
- Ten themes, a menu bar icon showing the time left, an optional chime and notification at the end of a session, and global shortcuts for the timer, the panel, and notes.
- Settings → Feature request opens your wish as an email in your mail app, and Settings → Updates opens this page.
- No account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no network connections of any kind.
